- Mer’jaz is the location of the Sir’dalian Season an annual event spanning the months of Odea, Ceno, and Phia in which trading houses compete to prove their value to the Sir’dalian royal house and acquire the Royal Contract.
- The Royal Contract is an annual contract for managing trade for the royal house of Sir’dal. A bit of research reveals that the contract is believed to be worth something on the order of 10,000 gold for the Trading houses owner that wins it. While the exact number varies year to year and is highly dependent on the nature of the house that wins it the estimated total merchandise moved during the contract is somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 gold. How much of that an individual merchant takes home is just a question of connections and negotiations.
